Systems Technician II - ANR Robinson International Airport (Six (6) month contract)

JOB SUMMARY:
Performs the installation, configuration, maintenance and repairs to components of the communication infrastructure and systems used by the Airports Authority and provides related services to airport tenants.

KEY DUTIES/TASKS:
1. Installs, troubleshoots and repairs data and voice cabling infrastructure.
2. Installs, configures, troubleshoots and maintains the local and wide area network communication systems.
3. Administers, installs, troubleshoots and maintains components of the PBX telephone system.
4. Installs and configures the software for the stated systems.
5. Analyses systems performance and makes adjustments for optimization and efficiency. Liaises with Vendor Support when necessary.
6. Provides timely reports and updates of systems log books, service requests and incidents which may occur while on duty for escalation to supervisor.
7. Assists in the administration and/or support of the Authority’s Information, Communication and Security Systems which include antivirus, user directory systems, office productivity applications, client/server systems, patch management, ID Badge and Access Control, Public Address (PA) and Video Surveillance systems based at ANRRIA.
8. Assists in troubleshooting and maintaining components of the paging or PA system.
9. Assists in support of the Video Surveillance System.
10. Responds to service calls and diagnoses the reported issues and provide timely updates to customers and Technical Help Desk.
11. Conducts preventative maintenance on communications hardware to ensure optimal uptime.
12. Assists the Supervisor in the preparation and update of documentation on the stated systems supported and associated processes or tasks.
13. Assists the Supervisor in the development and execution of projects related to the stated systems.
14. Escorts and assists in the supervision of external contractors hired to conduct works on the stated systems and related services for airport tenants.
15. Installs, configures and troubleshoots the office productivity applications used by the Airports Authority’s users which include the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, M.S. Access etc.)
16. Coordinates and/or setup computer systems for workshops and training.
17. Coordinates efforts with tenants and contractors with respect to site surveys and planned works.
18. Any other related duties.

Requirements: REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
1. Associate Degree in Information Systems or Electrical & Electronic Engineering Technician Diploma or an equivalent combination of training and certification.
2. Training in PBX administration and telephony systems maintenance.
3. Training or certification (e.g. CCNA) in the design and implementation of LAN/WAN communication systems and the standard communication protocols.
4. Training or a working knowledge in the administration of a MS Windows operating system environment will be an asset
5. Three years of work experience in the administration and support of LAN, WAN and telephony communication systems.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
1. Willingness to work outside of normal business hours when necessary.
2. Will be expected to work on-call when required.

Facilities Technician, Electrical - ANR Robinson International Airport

JOB SUMMARY:
To perform the daily operational checks on all electrical systems/equipment, operate as the first response to all trouble calls and provide first level maintenance.

KEY DUTIES/TASKS:
1. To check, verify the operational status and perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) of the following equipment and systems: -
• Airfield lighting
• Field Electrical Centre (FEC)
• Stand-by generators
• Scanner equipment
• Conveyor systems
• Counter Scales
• Elevators
• Building and exterior lighting, power and electrical systems
2. Prepare daily report on the condition of the electrical installation.
3. Carry out trouble shooting and resolving breakdowns.
4. Operate lifts hired or owned by the AATT.
5. Clean and upkeep electrical rooms.
6. Assist AC technicians with maintenance works of Air Condition systems.
7. Ensure an adequate water supply throughout the airport in the absence of the Plumber.
8. Monitor the work performed by the Contractors.
9. Report any problems and breakdowns to the Electrical Supervisor.
10. Perform other relevant duties as directed by the AATT.

Deputy General Manager (DGM) - Operations, Piarco International Airport (1 vacancy)

JOB SUMMARY:
The DGM Piarco International Airport would have a primary role together with the General Manager in creating the vision for the overall operations of the Airport and making that vision a reality. He/she will be a member of the Executive Management Team and will also be accountable for supporting the achievement of the mission and overall goals of the organisation by ensuring that all aspects of the Airport Operations are efficiently and effectively managed and delivered.

KEY DUTIES/TASKS
1. Conduct continuous reviews and analyses of the Operations of the airport facilities and services with the objective of keeping its operations in line with international best practices.
2. Assist the General Manager in recommending long-range objectives and strategies for the operation functions.
3. Assist the General Manager in the preparation of agendas and reports for meetings of the Airports Authority’s Board as it pertains to operational issues.
4. Administer the budget for the Operations Division within the Authority’s Tenders Rules.
5. Communicate with other Divisions of the Authority and inter-Governmental agencies during crisis situations. Incumbents must have the ability to effectively manage and facilitate an effective response to crisis situations.
6. Oversee the planning, coordinating, directing and reviewing of the maintenance of all facilities.
7. Provide oversight and ensure compliance with local and international environmental guidelines and mitigation efforts in the following areas but not limited to noise, ground, water and air quality.
8. Ensure that the Airports’ emergency response services are effectively managed.
9. Recommend general policies and procedures to support the attainment of the organisation’s missions and goals, with particular attention to those involving the operations functions.
10. Accurately assess organisation performance to ensure that policies and procedures in Operations are being followed and that the organisation is in compliance with Trinidad and Tobago Civil Aviation Authority Regulations, International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) standards and recommended practices.
11. Effectively evaluate employee performance and ensure that appropriate training is provided and scheduled for employees in the Operations area.
